The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) strongly condemns the renewed Israeli military assault on Gaza immediately following the release of all living Israeli hostages. This escalation exposes the deception and hypocrisy behind Israel’s so-called ceasefire commitments and confirms that Tel Aviv never intended to uphold peace once its immediate objectives were achieved.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s order to carry out “powerful strikes” across Gaza after confirming the return of all living captives represents not security policy but vengeance and collective punishment — acts that amount to war crimes and mass murder under international law.
The deliberate bombing of densely populated areas under the pretext of self-defence, following the conclusion of hostage-related negotiations, demonstrates that Israel’s war is not about hostages — it is about annihilation and domination.
MAPIM asserts that the international community must no longer hide behind the false narrative of “balanced concern.” The situation is crystal clear:
■ All living hostages have been released and returned.
■ Israel continues to bombard civilians, destroy hospitals and shelters, and target humanitarian convoys.
This proves that Israel’s military campaign is genocidal in intent and execution.
MAPIM demands:
- An immediate international intervention force to stop Israeli attacks and enforce a genuine ceasefire.
- Full accountability for war crimes through the International Criminal Court and United Nations mechanisms.
- Total suspension of all military and trade cooperation with Israel by all nations claiming adherence to human rights and justice.
- Urgent humanitarian corridors to deliver aid, medical supplies, and rescue teams into Gaza without Israeli obstruction.
The latest developments prove that Israel never sought peace — only domination and destruction. The world must act decisively to end this genocide and hold Israel accountable before history records yet another moral failure of humanity.
