New Delhi, October 23: The Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi hosted a special reception to mark the 69th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and Freedom Fight, celebrating Hungarian National Day and the enduring spirit of freedom.

The event was graced by H.E. Shri Sibi George, Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, who attended as the Chief Guest. The celebration brought together distinguished diplomats, officials, and partners from India and abroad to honour the shared values of liberty and friendship between Hungary and India.

In his remarks, the Ambassador highlighted the historical significance of the 1956 Revolution as a symbol of Hungary’s struggle for freedom and democracy, and expressed gratitude for India’s continued friendship and cooperation.
