ALIGARH, November 10: The Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University, organized “ELEVATE 2025: One Day Job and Internship Fair”, as a vibrant initiative to bridge academic learning with professional opportunities. The fair drew an overwhelming response, with over 2,000 student registrations, 300+ walk-ins, and the participation of 22 companies, offering students a platform to explore diverse career and internship prospects through direct interaction with recruiters.
The primary objective of the event was to connect students with employment and internship opportunities, both full-time and part-time, within Aligarh and its surrounding areas, while also promoting local organizations and industries.
Chief Guest, Professor Rafiuddin, Dean Students’ Welfare, inspired the students to cultivate confidence, communication, and competence to excel in an increasingly competitive job environment. He highlighted the importance of blending technical expertise with soft skills and commended AMU’s educational culture for shaping both professional capability and personal integrity.
Guest of Honour, Professor Vibha Sharma, Member Incharge, Public Relations Office, appreciated the TPO team for their dedicated efforts and underlined the growing relevance of skill-based employment. She emphasized the need to strengthen Aligarh’s local job market and assured that AMU would continue to play a pivotal role in promoting local employment as part of its social responsibility.
Addressing the gathering, Professor T. N. Satheesan, Dean, Faculty of Arts, encouraged students to align their academic pursuits with market-ready skills.
Earlier, the programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Anwar Ahmed, Department of Commerce, who expressed gratitude to the participating companies and encouraged them to recruit from AMU’s pool of talented students.
Dr. Suhalia Parveen, Assistant Training and Placement Officer (General) and Coordinator of ELEVATE 2025, outlined the goals of the initiative and the TPO’s efforts in fostering campus–industry collaboration.
The recruiters were felicitated in a ceremony coordinated by Dr. Mohd. Saeem Khan, Department of Commerce, while Dr. Mansoor Alam Siddiqui delivered the vote of thanks.
