AMU CSD&CP Organizes Hands-on Training on AI-Powered Digital Fashion Illustration

ALIGARH, The Centre for Skill Development and Career Planning (CSD&CP), Women’s College, Aligarh Muslim University, organized the second edition of a two-day hands-on training programme on “AI-Powered Digital Fashion Illustration,” providing practical exposure to contemporary digital design technologies for 27 students.

The training was conducted by Ms. Adiba Saleem, Guest Instructor at the Centre and Visiting Faculty at Community College, AMU. Participants received hands-on training in digital fashion illustration using industry-relevant tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Express, Canva, CLO 3D Virtual Fashion, augmented reality, CGI-based design tools, and artificial intelligence applications. A key feature of the workshop was training students to convert manually prepared fashion illustrations into professional digital presentations.

Prof. Masud Anwar Alavi, Principal, Women’s College, and Director of the Centre, highlighted the growing importance of digital illustration, AI, and social media in the fashion industry, emphasizing that these skills enhance employability, creativity, and entrepreneurial opportunities for aspiring designers.

Dr. Samreen Hasan Khan, Counsellor at the Centre, said the programme was aimed at bridging traditional creativity with modern technology. She added that, in view of the increasing demand for digital design skills, the Centre plans to introduce a Certificate Course in Digital Fashion Illustration to further enhance students’ career prospects.

The workshop concluded with an interactive project review session, where participants showcased their digitally transformed fashion illustrations.
