New Delhi: Senior diplomats from Laos arrived in the national capital on their way to participate in the Tripura Business Conclave 2026, a major investment and trade summit being held in Agartala at the invitation of Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha.
His Excellency Karlito Nunes, Ambassador of Laos to India, and Her Excellency Vithaya Xayavong were received at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. They were joined by representatives from several foreign missions before departing for Agartala to attend the conclave.

The Tripura Business Conclave 2026 aims to showcase Tripura’s expanding investment and trade opportunities while highlighting the state’s strategic position as a gateway to India’s North-Eastern region and neighbouring ASEAN markets. The event is expected to strengthen international business partnerships and encourage greater foreign investment in the state.
Organised by the Government of Tripura in collaboration with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, the conclave will bring together government leaders, diplomats, industry representatives, investors, and business stakeholders to explore opportunities across key sectors, promote cross-border trade, and deepen economic engagement between India and ASEAN nations.
