NEW DELHI The inaugural joint Russian-Indian industrial exhibition, INNOPROM.India, took place from September 9 to 11 in New Delhi, featuring a prominent presentation of the Russian capital’s technological potential.
The exhibition was organized by the Moscow Department for External Economic and International Relations, alongside the backing of the Moscow Centre for International Cooperation. High-level leadership, including Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov and India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, toured the Moscow pavilion. The stand highlighted advanced innovations spanning robotics, microelectronics, medical equipment, modern transport systems, and urban infrastructure.
Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations, presented the capital’s technological capabilities, emphasizing the critical value of the “Digital Twin” system in managing a sprawling metropolis.
Deepening Bilateral Ties
Beyond the exhibition floor, diplomatic engagements advanced municipal cooperation. On September 10, Sergey Cheremin held a formal meeting with Vivek Pandey, Secretary of Urban Development for the Delhi Government.
Discussions centered on expanding bilateral collaboration and laying the groundwork for a formal Cooperation Programme between the Government of Moscow and the Government of Delhi. This milestone event concludes as a significant step forward in bolstering industrial, technological, and administrative partnerships between the two capitals.
