“AMU Students Leads Uttar Pradesh to Victory at Federation Cup 2025.”

Nabeela khan from Women’s collage, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has brought glory to AMU as she is the one of the player in the U.P team who won the gold medal in the Federation Cup 2025 Roller Skating Derby Championship at Bikaner, Rajasthan.

Nabeela, a student of B.Sc. Biochemistry, swept the whole state team, topping with a 44-11 pool stage victory over Tamil Nadu. The U.P team Defeated the hosts Rajasthan in the last match 26-12 and emerged the champions.

Syeda Laiba Ali is member of the championship winning team and just cleared Class 10 from AMU. This proves the university’s greater investment in women’s sports.

Nabeela qualified for the state team after she tried out the tough qualification test and went through an arduous 10-day training camp in Mohali in 2024. She has also won 5 national medals in roller derby before and 3 of them were gold medals.

Aside from her sporting achievements, Nabeela has twice passed the NEET exam, demonstrating not only dedication to sport but to education as well because graduation is a certainty with her achievements, which aligns with AMU’s goal of all-around development.
