A group of 15 Egyptian officials is attending a customized course under ITEC at CSR & TI Mysuru, learning several aspects of Sericulture and the Silk Industry.
Developing robust sericulture technology and the silk industry in Egypt is a significant aspect of the India–Egypt developmental partnership.
India is the second-largest producer of silk in the world and the only country to produce all five types of silk, offering a variety of textures, colours, and weaving styles.
The ITEC program forms a strong bridge of development cooperation across domains, cultures, and traditions.
