On October 15, in New Delhi, the International Railway Equipment Exhibition 2025 hosted the official presentation of a mock-up sleeper coach of the Vande Bharat high-speed train.
The concept was developed by Kinet Railway Solutions Ltd, a joint venture between Russian rolling stock manufacturer CJSC Transmashholding and #Indian state-owned corporation Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd.
The event opened with welcoming remarks by the project’s Chief Designer, Evgeny Maslov, who gave a detailed overview of the concept’s features and emphasized the joint venture’s key role in modernizing India’s railway network through the adoption of advanced technologies, enhancement of passenger comfort, and development of supporting infrastructure. On the Indian side, Nishunk Garg, Vande Bharat Project Director, addressed the audience.
The presentation drew significant interest from business representatives and the media.
