Germany Reaffirms ‘Never Again’ Pledge at Holocaust Remembrance Day Event in New Delhi

New Delhi: Germany commemorated the International Holocaust Remembrance Day in New Delhi, reiterating its enduring responsibility for the atrocities committed during the Holocaust and reaffirming its commitment to the principle of “Never again.”

Marking the global day of remembrance, German representatives acknowledged the Holocaust as an unforgivable breach of civilization and emphasized that Germany’s responsibility for these crimes is historical, unalterable, and everlasting. The commemoration served both as a tribute to the six million Jews and millions of other victims of Nazi persecution, and as a reminder of the dangers of hatred, antisemitism, racism, and intolerance.

Speaking on the occasion, officials underscored that remembering the Holocaust is not only about honoring the victims but also about drawing lessons for the present and future. They stressed the importance of preserving historical truth, promoting education, and standing firmly against all forms of discrimination and violence.

The event in New Delhi reflected Germany’s continued engagement with the international community in upholding human dignity, fostering dialogue, and ensuring that the lessons of the Holocaust remain a guiding moral compass for generations to come.
