ALIGARH, February 6: The Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University, organized a special session on “Resilience, Adaptation and Interdisciplinary Approach with Reference to Business Operations and Management” to sensitize students and faculty to emerging challenges in contemporary business environments. Mr. Ezaz Hazarika, an alumnus of the MBA Batch (1986–88), Consultant in the Financial Sector (Fraud and Loss Prevention), and an MHA-Empanelled Trainer, delivered the keynote address. He traced the evolution of technology and business practices from the era of radio to Android-based digital systems, stressing the need for continuous adaptation. Drawing upon his professional experience across diverse sectors, he highlighted flexibility, resilience, and interdisciplinary thinking as essential tools for navigating uncertainty. He also explained global risk stratification through a colour-coded risk map, illustrating how organizations assess region-specific risks to strengthen operational efficiency and loss prevention strategies.
The guest speaker was felicitated by Prof. Mohd. Naved Khan, Dean Faculty of Management Studies and Research, Prof. Salma Ahmed, Chairperson of the Department, and Prof. Valeed Ansari, acknowledging his valuable contribution and enduring association with the University. Prof. Mohd. Naved Khan shared insights on resilience, adaptability, and risk assessment, underlining the significance of industry–academia collaboration. Prof. Salma Ahmed emphasized interdisciplinary approaches and adaptive leadership, while Prof. Valeed Ahmed Ansari highlighted flexibility as central to effective decision-making.
The programme began with a welcome address by the host, who formally welcomed the guest speaker, dignitaries, faculty members and students, and outlined the objectives of the session.
The programme was conducted by Manal Tehseen, who also proposed a vote of thanks, marking the session as an enriching learning experience for students and faculty alike.
