PM Modi Joins Bhutan in Celebrating 70th Birth Anniversary of Fourth King Jigme Singye Wangchuck

Thimphu, Bhutan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the Royal Family, the government, and the people of Bhutan at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu to mark the 70th birth anniversary of His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the Fourth King of Bhutan.

The event began with prayers led by His Majesty the King of Bhutan in memory of those who lost their lives in the recent Delhi blast.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi conveyed the warm wishes of the people of India to His Majesty the Fourth King and to the people of Bhutan. He lauded the enduring friendship between India and Bhutan, praising the vision and leadership of both the present King and the Fourth King in strengthening the bilateral partnership.

The Prime Minister also expressed confidence that the Global Peace Prayer Festival and the Exposition of Lord Buddha’s relics would spread the message of peace and harmony across the world.
