Russia and India Discuss 2026 Tour of Kostroma Ballet, Strengthening Cultural Cooperation Ahead of India’s BRICS Chairmanship

On November 12, representatives of the Russian Embassy in India and the leadership of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma”, Elena Tsarenko and Yuri Tsarenko, held a meeting with Dr Arvind Kumar, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture of India.

The parties discussed plans to organize a performance tour of the “Kostroma” Ballet in India in 2026. Particular attention was paid to initiatives aimed at promoting creative exchanges and joint cultural projects under the aegis of the BRICS Alliance of Folk Dance Culture.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening humanitarian ties between Russia and India and expressed their readiness for further cooperation in the context of India’s BRICS Chairmanship in 2026.
