Renowned filmmaker Muzaffar Ali, celebrated director of the iconic Umrao Jaan (1981), graced the India Night Reception at the Red Sea International Film Festival this year. Addressing the gathering, he shared his reflections on cinema and highlighted the vast potential for creative collaboration between nations.

The event also marked the formal unveiling of his coffee table book on Umrao Jaan. The launch was attended by the Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia, the Consul General of India in Jeddah, the Vice Chairman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce (غرفة جدة), and the Joint Secretary of India’s Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. Their presence underscored a moment of cultural celebration and the growing ties between India and Saudi Arabia.
