ALIGARH, Dr.Shayesta Bedar, Senior Assistant Librarian at Maulana Azad Library, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), attendedan international conference held in Tashkent and Samarkand.
Organised by the Center for Civilization and Culture of Uzbekistan, the conference focused on the legacy of Amir Timur and the role of cultural heritage in strengthening international relations. Dr.Bedar, who was invited by the Centre for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, presented a paper on Timurid–Baburid history based on illustrated manuscripts.
The conference brought together scholars and diplomats from across the world and highlighted the use of modern technologies in preserving nearly 2000 years of heritage in Uzbekistan’s museums.
