India and Kazakhstan have taken another step toward strengthening academic cooperation, with a focus on historical research and institutional collaboration. During his visit to Kazakhstan, Professor Akhlaq Ahmad Ahan of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) held meetings with representatives of AlmaU and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The discussions centered on launching joint research initiatives involving manuscripts and archival materials related to the history of Kazakhstan and the Great Steppe. The two sides also explored opportunities to expand academic exchanges, collaborative research projects, and broader institutional partnerships.

The engagement reflects the growing commitment of both countries to fostering academic ties, advancing historical scholarship, and promoting greater collaboration between Indian and Kazakh higher education institutions.
