Dr. Ghulam Hasan from Jammu and Kashmir has been appointed as the coach/manager of the Indian team for the World Soft Tennis Championship in China.
The appointment is a proud moment for Jammu and Kashmir, as Dr. Hasan will help lead the Indian team at the international event. . Hassan will serve as both the coach and manager, overseeing strategy, team coordination, and logistics for the tournament.
Three players from Jammu and Kashmir — Sidhani Singh, Shreemai Bhatt and Madhvender Singh Sambyal — have also been selected to represent India in the championship.
As a founding member of the J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association, he has been central to developing the sport at the grassroots and rural levels. He previously served as an official for the Indian contingent during the 9th Asian Soft Tennis Championship in South Korea.
The tournament is scheduled to be held in China from October 26 to 31, 2026. The selection of Dr. Hasan and the three players highlights the growing presence of Jammu and Kashmir in soft tennis and brings pride to the region.
