Russian Embassy Diplomats Meet Paralympic Committee of India Leadership

On 28 August, diplomats from the Russian Embassy in India met with senior officials of the Paralympic Committee of India, led by its President Devendra Jhajharia – two-time Paralympic gold medallist and Padma Bhushan awardee.

The discussions focused on preparations for the forthcoming World Para Athletics Championships, scheduled to take place in New Delhi from 25 September to 5 October 2025. This will be the largest event of its kind and the first time India will host the championships.

Particular attention was given to the participation of the Russian team, comprising more than one hundred athletes and staff, which will be the largest foreign delegation at the Championships.
