The Suriname Embassy in India participated in the GIBF – Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) Business Conclave 2025 in Hyderabad with the aim of raising awareness of Suriname’s diverse business and investment possibilities. The delegation, headed by Ambassador Arunkoemar Hardien with the Commercial Attaché in tow, introduced Suriname’s growing trade and economic opportunities while interacting with stakeholders globally. The conclave was a valuable chance to explore bilateral trade and opportunities for bilateral trade, new markets, and to enable direct business-to-business (B2B) interactions among exporters, importers, investors, and policymakers from India, Latin America, and the Caribbean with a view to forging stronger strategic partnerships and commercial connectivity. The commercial and diplomatic outreach during the event was also complemented by Ambassador Hardien’s fruitful exchanges with other influential ministers and Hon’ble Governor of Telangana Shri Jishnu Dev Varma. The high-level interaction emphasized Suriname’s interest in increasing trade diplomacy and exploring possible chances of cooperation in the vibrant India-LAC environment.
