Orientation Programme held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Hall, AMU

ALIGARH, September 16: The Orientation Programme for newly admitted students of the academic session 2025-26 was successfully held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Hall, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

The Chief Guest, Prof. Rafiuddin, Dean of Students’ Welfare, AMU, highlighted the significance of academic excellence, personal development, and community engagement.

The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Mohd. Wasim Ali, Proctor, AMU, who stressed the need for discipline, ethics, and responsibility among students in contributing to a vibrant academic environment.

The Guests of Honour, Adv. Shakeel Ahmed and Adv. Rizwan Ahmad, Advocates-on-Record, Supreme Court of India, shared their professional experiences and insights, inspiring students to pursue their aspirations with dedication and integrity.

Earlier, the programme began with a welcome address by Prof. Mohammad Tariq, Provost, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Hall. He greeted the distinguished guests and freshers, while emphasizing the importance of discipline, unity, and dedication in student life. He also invoked the visions of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.

A special interactive session was conducted by Mr. Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer, AMU, who informed students about the career development opportunities and support systems available on campus.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Prof. Mohammad Tariq, Provost; and supervision by the wardens Prof. Zafar Ahmad Khan, Mr. Mohd. Imran and Dr. Mehdi Hayat Shahi, along with Mr. Hammad Khan, Event Convenor, and Mr. Mohd. Shahran, Event Coordinator.
