India–EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement Comes Into Force

A historic milestone in India’s partnership with the EFTA countries was marked as the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) officially entered into force.

At Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, EFTA partners, and Ambassador May-Elin Stener celebrated this special occasion. Norwegian Minister of Trade Cecilie Myrseth also conveyed her remarks through a video message.

With TEPA, both sides are investing in a future of shared prosperity, driven by India’s dynamism and growth. The landmark agreement is expected to:

  • Expand trade and market access
  • Boost investments, innovation, and technology partnerships
  • Drive sustainable and inclusive growth
  • Bring businesses and people closer together

The agreement promises to open new doors for entrepreneurs, innovators, and businesses across sectors, strengthening India–EFTA cooperation in the years ahead.
