India–Russia Push for Stronger Industrial and Trade Partnership in Uttar Pradesh

On October 9, representatives of the Russian Embassy and Trade Mission in India held a meeting with members of the Uttar Pradesh Economic Advisory Group Prof Nachiketa Tiwari, Leela Kanuga and Prashant Singh.

During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on prospects for developing bilateral industrial, investment, and trade cooperation in the textile industry, clothing and accessories manufacturing, leather and footwear production, pharmaceuticals, and mechanical engineering.

☝🏻 Former Indian Ambassador to Russia Prabhat P Shukla, who participated in the discussion, noted the need to increase the share of non-resource products in the trade turnover between between the two countries, as well as the Indian interest in enhancing the exchange of skilled labor with Russia.
