The Italian Ambassador held a highly productive meeting with Secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Shri Amardeep Singh Bhatia, to discuss the upcoming visit of Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, to India.
The discussions focused on concrete deliverables aimed at deepening the India–Italy economic partnership. Building on the success of two previous business fora, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing cooperation in key sectors including innovation, startups and research, automotive components, waste-to-energy, agricultural machinery, and the sports industry.
The meeting underscored the mutual intent of India and Italy to enhance trade and investment flows, fostering a stronger and more dynamic bilateral economic relationship.
