New Delhi, October 28, 2025 — The Embassy of the Czech Republic proudly celebrated Czech National Day, commemorating the founding of the independent Czechoslovak state on October 28, 1918. The occasion honored the enduring values of freedom, democracy, and national pride that continue to define the Czech Republic today.

The event was graced by Mr. Arun Kumar Chatterjee, Secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, who attended as the Chief Guest. His presence underscored the deepening ties between Czechia and India, reflecting a partnership built on shared values, mutual respect, and growing cooperation across diverse sectors including trade, education, culture, and innovation.
Adding a vibrant cultural touch to the celebration, the Czech folklore band ‘Bedrník’ from South Bohemia captivated the audience with traditional melodies, bringing the spirit of Czech heritage to life.
