Russia has warned that the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is in a very fragile state and that no one should be careless about it.
In fact, Russia’s representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, said that the international community must now focus on the real issue — the political solution to the Palestine-Israel conflict.
In a conversation with RIA Novosti, he said, “A terrible tragedy has occurred in Gaza over the past two years. Thankfully, a ceasefire has now been reached, but it is very fragile. We must work to maintain it.”
Nebenzya emphasized that the path to lasting peace lies through the two-state solution. He also said that, in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions, an independent Palestinian state should be established within the 1967 borders, with its capital in East Al-Quds (Jerusalem).
On the other hand, the Al-Qassam Brigades said that Israel is responsible for violating the ceasefire in Gaza. The organization stated that its fighters are acting in self-defense in Rafah and made it clear that “the idea of surrender does not exist in Al-Qassam’s dictionary.”
The brigades warned that the resistance will continue and that they are ready to respond to any new Israeli action.
