Mumbai, November 17 — Lyudmila Sekacheva, President of the Russian regional organization “BRICS. The World of Traditions” and Head of the international program “BRICS Peoples Choosing Life,” has been awarded the Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation’s International Award for “Promoting Gandhian Values Outside India.”

The award ceremony took place at the Royal Opera House, where Shekhar Bajaj, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. R. A. Mashelkar, Chairman of the Council of Advisors, and chief guest Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati, President and Spiritual Head of the Parmarth Niketan Ashram, presented the honor.

As part of her visit, Sekacheva toured the Mani Bhavan Gandhi Sangrahalaya and visited the Walsingham House School for Girls, where she showcased the “Great Teachers of BRICS” project. She also met with Dr. Vijay G. Kalantri, President of the World Trade Center.

The visit was supported by the Russian House in Mumbai and the Russian Consulate General in Mumbai.
