New Delhi, In the lead-up to President Vladimir Putin’s state visit to India on December 4–5, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov conducted an extensive online briefing organized by Sputnik India.

The virtual session brought together more than 100 journalists representing major media outlets from both India and Russia. Over the course of the event, Peskov fielded a wide range of questions, addressing key aspects of India–Russia bilateral relations, ongoing diplomatic cooperation, and pressing issues on the international agenda.

Peskov’s remarks underscored the importance Moscow places on its longstanding strategic partnership with New Delhi. He also highlighted upcoming areas of engagement expected to feature prominently during President Putin’s visit, including defense cooperation, trade, energy collaboration, and global security matters.

The briefing served as a precursor to high-level discussions set to take place during the presidential visit, reflecting the continued momentum in India–Russia ties and the mutual interest in strengthening multi-sectoral cooperation.
