Russian Ambassador Highlights Outcomes of 23rd Russia–India Summit at New Delhi Expert Discussion

New Delhi, December 16 — Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov participated in an expert discussion titled “Diplomat Diaries” at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre on December 16. The event was organized with the support of the Observer Research Foundation, a leading Indian think tank.

In his address, Ambassador Alipov outlined the key outcomes of the 23rd Russia–India Summit held in New Delhi on December 4–5. He highlighted the principal bilateral agreements concluded during the summit and identified priority areas of cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador emphasized the expanding role of multilateral platforms such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and BRICS in strengthening Russia–India dialogue. He described the bilateral relationship as a solid and strategic partnership founded on trust, equality and mutual benefit.

The discussion, moderated by prominent Indian political scientist and international relations expert Professor Harsh V. Pant, focused on cooperation in defence, energy and economic security. It also explored prospects for collaboration in the Arctic region, Russia’s Far East, and the expansion of educational and academic exchanges.

Ambassador Alipov also responded to questions from the audience on current bilateral and international issues. The event was attended by members of India’s expert and academic communities, media representatives, and postgraduate and doctoral students from leading universities across the country.
