The third Yamuna Cleaning Activity under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) initiative will be organized on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Dhobi Ghat, Yamuna Bank, Jamia Nagar, Okhla, Delhi, starting at 9:30 AM.

This activity is a follow-up to the One-Day Workshop titled “River Yamuna: Rejuvenation, Cleanliness, and Community Engagement Initiative”, which was held on May 30, 2025, at IIT Delhi. The initiative aims to take concrete action toward the rejuvenation and cleanliness of the Yamuna River through active community participation.

The cleaning drive will witness participation from UBA-affiliated institutes, non-governmental organizations, volunteers, students, and local villagers. Teams from IIT Delhi, Subject Expert Groups (SEG), and PSG members will also take part in the activity.

Organizers emphasized that the activity marks an important step toward collective action for environmental conservation and river rejuvenation. Active public participation is expected to play a key role in ensuring the success of this initiative and in fostering long-term community engagement for the protection of the Yamuna River.
