Noida: Austria will mark its participation at the 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026 with the screening of the acclaimed documentary Elfriede Jelinek – Die Sprache von der Leine lassen / Language Unleashed, directed by Claudia Müller. The screening will take place on February 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Marwah Studios Complex, Noida.
The documentary offers a powerful and incisive portrait of Elfriede Jelinek, Austria’s Nobel Prize–winning writer, renowned for her uncompromising use of language as a tool of resistance. Through her sharp, provocative literary voice, Jelinek challenges structures of power and exposes social hypocrisy, while confronting complex themes such as gender inequality, nationalism, and violence.
Language Unleashed explores how Jelinek “unleashes” language to force society to confront its own contradictions, making the film a compelling journey into the mind of one of Austria’s most influential and controversial literary figures. The screening is expected to draw writers, journalists, students, and cinema enthusiasts interested in literature, critical thought, and socially engaged storytelling.
