Thimphu — Ambassador Dr. Robert Zischg formally assumed his duties as Austria’s Ambassador to Bhutan today after presenting his Letter of Credence to His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.
The official ceremony marks a significant milestone in diplomatic relations between Austria and Bhutan, reaffirming the two nations’ commitment to strengthening their warm and friendly ties.
During the meeting, both sides underscored the importance of continued dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect as foundations of their bilateral relationship. Ambassador Zischg’s appointment is expected to further enhance collaboration between the two countries across areas of shared interest.
The presentation of credentials formally signifies the beginning of Ambassador Zischg’s tenure as Austria’s representative to Bhutan.
