The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has announced that it carried out the 61st wave of Operation True Promise 4, claiming to have struck more than 100 targets in Tel Aviv in response to the killing of Ali Larijani during what Iran described as joint American-Israeli military aggression.
In an official statement issued on Wednesday, the IRGC said the latest strikes involved multi-warhead Khorramshahr-4 and Qadr missiles, along with Emad and Kheibar Shekan projectiles. According to the statement, the missiles targeted military and security-related sites in central Israel as part of what it described as retaliation for Larijani’s death.
The IRGC further claimed that the strikes penetrated Israeli air defence systems and caused disruption in parts of Tel Aviv, including reports of a partial power outage. It asserted that Israeli emergency and security services were facing difficulties in managing the aftermath.
According to the statement, Operation True Promise 4 has so far resulted in more than 230 Israeli casualties, including those killed and injured, though independent verification of these figures remains unavailable.
Iran stated that the operation began after recent military escalation involving the United States and Israel. In addition to Tel Aviv, Iranian strikes have reportedly targeted locations in Jerusalem, Haifa, Beersheba and the Negev Desert.
The statement also referred to attacks on U.S.-linked military facilities across the Gulf region, including locations in Qatar, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia
