Vilnius to Host Global Congress on Divine Mercy in June 2026

Vilnius — The capital of Lithuania will host a major international religious event, the World Apostolic Congress on Mercy, from June 7 to 12, 2026. The gathering is expected to bring together pilgrims, Church representatives, and members of various religious and cultural communities from around the world.

The congress will focus on the theme of mercy in contemporary society, encouraging dialogue between faith, culture, and modern global challenges. Organizers aim to create a platform for meaningful discussions and exchange of perspectives across different traditions and backgrounds.

Vilnius was selected as the host city due to its significant role in the history of Divine Mercy devotion. The city is closely associated with Saint Faustina Kowalska, whose spiritual experiences are linked to Vilnius. It is also the place where the first widely recognized Divine Mercy image was painted.

The program will include international conferences, personal testimonies, pilgrimages, cultural events, and panel discussions. Participants from across the globe are invited to attend and engage in this landmark event dedicated to the message of mercy.
