ALIGARH: Prof. Shah Alam, Chairman, Department of Psychology, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been nominated as a member of the Uttar Pradesh State Allied and Healthcare Council under the category of Community Care and Behavioural Health Sciences by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
The Council, constituted under the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act, is the first of its kind in the state.
Prof. Alam’s nomination recognises his contributions to psychology and behavioural health. With over two decades of experience in counselling and mental health, he has actively organised academic and awareness programmes and is associated with various national and international organisations.
