AMU Malappuram Law Students Win National Recognition in NALSA Competition

ALIGARH, June 6: The Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University Centre, Malappuram, has brought laurels to the institution by securing the Runner-Up Position (South Zone) in the nationwide Reel and Short Film Competition, Frames of Justice, organised by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).

The award-winning short film, based on The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, was produced through the Legal Aid Cell of the Department of Law and was appreciated for its impactful message and creative presentation promoting legal awareness and social responsibility.

The film was directed by Sana Anjum, a fourth-year law student, and produced by a team comprising Afsana, Aaliya, Abidulla, Anas, Shafia, Rahimullah, Shoeb and Aadil.

Prof. Mohammad Tariq, Coordinator, AMU Centres; Prof. M. Shahul Hameed, Director, AMU Centre Malappuram; and Dr Shahnawaz Ahmad Malik, Course Coordinator, Department of Law, congratulated the students on their achievement and appreciated their dedication and creativity.

Dr Naseema P.K., Chairperson, Legal Aid Cell, along with Dr Shally Victor, Dr Deeba Khanam and Dr Azmat Ali, Faculty In-Charges of the Legal Aid Cell, also commended the team for bringing national recognition to the institution.
