Russia, India Deepen Labour Mobility Cooperation at Human Resource Mobility Forum in New Delhi

Russia and India have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation on labour mobility during the Human Resource Mobility Forum organised by India’s Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi on June 30.

The Russian delegation was led by Chargé d’Affaires Roman Babushkin and included representatives from the Russian Trade Representation in New Delhi, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Skolkovo India Lab, JSC Intrud, and Synergy University.

During the forum, Russian officials highlighted the increasing demand for skilled and semi-skilled Indian professionals across various sectors of the Russian economy and its regions. They also discussed the current status and future prospects of bilateral efforts to strengthen the legal framework governing labour mobility, alongside practical aspects of employing foreign nationals in Russia.

The discussions underscored both countries’ shared commitment to enhancing coordination in the field of workforce mobility. Participants emphasised the potential to leverage the complementary strengths of the Indian and Russian economies while fostering stronger business partnerships and people-to-people exchanges through improved employment opportunities and cooperation.
