The Russian House in New Delhi marked the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity on July 8 with a vibrant cultural celebration highlighting family values, artistic traditions, and the enduring friendship between India and Russia.
The event was inaugurated by Elena Remizova, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India, who welcomed guests and emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural ties through shared traditions and people-to-people exchanges.

A major attraction of the evening was the opening of the exhibition, “Multifaceted Russia: Family, Traditions and Breadth of Soul,” an international art project presented in New Delhi under the Art Assembly in Asia initiative. The exhibition showcased the richness of Russian culture, family traditions, and artistic heritage through diverse visual artworks.
One of the most emotional moments of the celebration came when a Russian-Indian couple, celebrating their 41st wedding anniversary, was honoured with the prestigious “For Love and Fidelity” medal in recognition of their lifelong commitment and enduring bond. The award symbolized the values of love, family, and mutual respect that the occasion commemorates.

The celebration concluded with a lively performance by the Model Studio of Free Dance “Barefoot” from the Balaklava Culture Palace, presenting the international project “Kalinka Walks the World.” The performers captivated the audience with a colourful fusion of traditional Russian folk dances and modern choreography, with the iconic “Kalinka” dance receiving enthusiastic applause as Indian performers joined the Russian artists on stage, reflecting the spirit of cultural friendship between the two nations.
