Russia’s artistic swimming team claimed the gold medal in the team free routine event at the European Aquatics Championships, currently being held in Paris from July 31 to August 16.

The gold-winning squad consisted of Kira Cherezova, Maya Doroshko, Ekaterina Kossova, Elizaveta Minaeva, Svetlana Pavlova, Elena Shabanova, Elizaveta Smirnova, and Olga Tyutyunik. The team delivered a standout performance, earning 285.0346 points to secure the top spot on the podium.
Spain finished second with 282.3541 points, while Italy claimed the bronze medal with 256.1558 points.

The competition marked the Russian artistic swimming team’s first appearance at the European Championships since 2021. The athletes competed under neutral status and returned to the continental stage with a gold medal-winning performance.
