Moscow: Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik has accused Ukrainian armed forces of carrying out a series of drone attacks targeting civilian areas and infrastructure across several Russian regions between August 3 and 9, 2026.
According to Miroshnik, the attacks resulted in civilian deaths and injuries, including among children. He also released photographs and other evidence that he said documented the incidents.
On August 3, a UAV reportedly struck a beach in Arkhipo-Osipovka in Russia’s Krasnodar Region, killing eight civilians, including four children, and injuring 58 others, among them 12 minors.
The same day, a drone allegedly struck a civilian vehicle in Novaya Nelidovka in the Belgorod Region, injuring two people.
On August 4, a UAV reportedly hit an apartment building in Novaya Kakhovka, injuring one civilian. Another drone strike in the industrial area of Novoselki in the Moscow Region reportedly injured 10 civilians. An apartment building in Shebekino, Belgorod Region, was also reportedly targeted.
On August 5, a drone allegedly struck a hospital in Donetsk, killing one woman and injuring two others.
Further incidents were reported on August 8, when an FPV drone allegedly hit a private house in Dunayka, Belgorod Region, setting it on fire and completely destroying the property. A UAV also reportedly struck the Megapolis wholesale market in Kakhovka, where the trading facilities were said to have been destroyed by fire. Another civilian freight vehicle was reportedly targeted in Rzhevka, Belgorod Region.
The most serious incident in the reported period came on August 9, when a large-scale UAV attack allegedly targeted residential areas of Belgorod. According to Miroshnik, six civilians were killed and 27 others were injured, including two children.
Russia has described the incidents as attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure. The allegations and casualty figures cited by Miroshnik have not been independently verified in the information provided.
