On the 35th anniversary of the Weimar Triangle, attention turns to the first India–Weimar format meeting held in France in January 2026. The meeting brought together India and key European partners for discussions on strengthening strategic cooperation.
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar held talks focusing on India–EU relations, developments in the Indo-Pacific and the ongoing Ukraine conflict. The discussions underlined India’s growing engagement with Europe on key regional and global issues.
The meeting also reflected efforts to deepen collaboration between India and European countries and expand cooperation on shared strategic priorities. The India–Weimar format marked an important step towards closer dialogue and stronger India-Europe ties.
