West Bank: Tensions continue to remain high across the occupied West Bank amid ongoing Israeli military raids, arrests and confrontations. According to a report published by the Palestine Information Center (PIC) on September 15, citing data attributed to Moata, 107 Palestinians have been killed and around 6,600 arrested in the West Bank since the beginning of 2026.
The latest reported death occurred on Tuesday morning in the Umm al-Sharayet area of Al-Bireh, where, according to PIC, a 54-year-old Palestinian man identified as Ziad al-Jaber was killed during an Israeli military operation.
The report said the latest incident brought the number of Palestinians reportedly killed in the West Bank since the beginning of the year to 107. It also cited figures indicating that thousands of Palestinians have been detained during Israeli military raids across different parts of the territory.
PIC further reported that more than 32,000 Palestinians have been arrested in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, citing the same source. The arrests reportedly include people detained during military raids and security operations.
The developments come amid continuing instability in the West Bank, where Israeli military operations and Palestinian attacks have contributed to a prolonged cycle of violence and heightened tensions.
