ALIGARH, April 12: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducted entrance examinations for admission to various undergraduate programmes, including Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), B.Sc. Agriculture, Bachelor of Arts (BA) and BA Foreign Language courses, at centres across the country.
As many as 7,828 candidates appeared for the B.Sc. and B.Sc. Agriculture entrance test held in the morning shift at centres in Aligarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Srinagar, Patna, Kozhikode, Imphal and Khanapara (Guwahati), out of a total of 9,339 applicants.

For the BA and BA Foreign Language programmes, 6,264 candidates had applied, and the entrance test was conducted from 3 pm to 5 pm.
Expressing satisfaction over the smooth conduct of the examinations, Controller of Examinations Dr. Mujib Ullah Zuberi said that the tests were held in a peaceful and orderly manner across centres. Senior faculty members were deputed as observers, while overall in-charges were appointed at centres outside Aligarh to ensure proper coordination, he added.
Special National Service Scheme (NSS) help camps were also set up at key locations on the university campus to assist candidates and their parents.
