Thousands of Israeli protesters demand opposition ally with Arab parties to oust Netanyahu

Thousands of protestors have taken to the streets in Israel, urging opposition leaders to join hands with Arab political parties to remove Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from power.

The protesters called on opposition leaders to put aside their political differences and cooperate with Arab parties to form a new government. They believe that cooperation between Jewish and Arab political groups could help bring an end to Netanyahu’s rule.

The demonstrations come amid ongoing political negotiations over the formation of Israel’s next government. With no clear majority emerging, Arab lawmakers could play a crucial role in deciding the country’s political future.

Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, has 120 seats, and a party or coalition needs at least 61 seats to form a government.
However, divisions remain within the opposition over whether to formally cooperate with Arab parties. Some opposition leaders support such cooperation, while others have expressed reservations.

Arab lawmakers could therefore become key players in the coalition negotiations. Their support may determine whether the opposition can secure enough parliamentary backing to form a government and replace Netanyahu.

The political developments have highlighted growing calls for cooperation between Jewish and Arab political groups, although the outcome of the negotiations remains uncertain.
