Gaza attacks continue: Four Palestinians killed in Khan Younis, questions raised about ceasefire

A deeply distressing incident has emerged from Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, where four Palestinian civilians were killed early Tuesday morning in an Israeli airstrike. The attack comes at a time when ceasefire violations have reportedly continued for the 194th consecutive day, raising serious concerns about the situation on the ground.

According to local sources, an Israeli drone targeted a security checkpoint in the al-Amal neighborhood, located west of Khan Yunis. The strike killed three individuals on the spot—Darwish al-Attal, Saad Abu Hilal, and Majed Abu Mousa.

The tragedy is further deepened by the personal story of Darwish al-Attal, who had gotten married just a day before the attack, only to lose his life the very next morning—highlighting the harsh reality faced by civilians in the conflict.

In a separate incident in northern Gaza, in Beit Lahia, a woman identified as Hiba Abu Shaqfa was also killed. She had been critically injured by gunfire from an Israeli gunboat in the as-Salatin area and later succumbed to her wounds.

The report states that Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire in Gaza through repeated attacks on civilians, demolition of structures, and strict restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and people.

These incidents once again raise serious questions about the effectiveness of the ceasefire, as civilians continue to bear the brunt of the ongoing conflict.
