Students of the Department of Islamic Studies are not only provided with formal education but are also given moral and intellectual training. The very essence of this training demands that when they leave this department and step into practical life, they should be recognized as representatives and ambassadors of the University and the Department of Islamic Studies. Their character and conduct will serve as the true reflection of the department; therefore, it is essential that they always keep in mind the dignity and honor of the University, the department, and their parents.

These views were expressed by Prof. Dr. Iqtidar Mohd Khan, President of Bazm-e-Talaba and Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Languages, during his presidential address at the farewell ceremony for graduating students and the program Inspire-2026, organized by Bazm-e-Talaba at the Department of Islamic Studies.
Prof. Khan further advised the students that politics in itself is not an objectionable thing; however, when it assumes a negative form it gives rise to conflicts and disputes. In the intellectual and academic environment of the Department of Islamic Studies, there is no place for negative politics, as every effort is made to cultivate an atmosphere that promotes intellectual awareness, mutual respect and affection, and minimizes negative differences.

On this occasion, he also released the annual special issue of “Sada-e-Jauhar,” the official publication of Bazm-e-Talaba, titled “Muslim Intellectuals in the Colonial Period,” published under the patronage of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi.
At the event, Prof. Syed Shahid Ali, former Head of the Department of Islamic Studies, advised students to adopt reflection, reasoning, and contemplation as guiding principles in their lives. He emphasized that questions such as “why” and “how” should become part of their intellectual inquiry, as such questions help a person reach the truth and choose the right path.
Dr. Khursheed Afaq, Advisor of Bazm-e-Talaba, appreciated the efforts of the organizers of Bazm-e-Talaba and the team of Sada-e-Jauhar, stating that such academic and literary activities are a sign of the vitality and intellectual vibrancy of any department. He also expressed his satisfaction that the organizers of Bazm-e-Talaba carried out their responsibilities with dedication, hard work, and mutual cooperation.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Mohammad Muaz Shahid, a student of the department, followed by a Naat recitation by Adeeba. Tauqeer Ali, Vice-President of Bazm-e-Talaba, delivered the welcome address. Khadija, Secretary of Bazm-e-Talaba, presented the annual report of the society, while Md Shahnawaz presented the annual report of the Placement Cell and Sada-e-Jauhar.
Bilal Ahmed, Mohammad Abdullah, Osama Wasiq, Mohammad Zeeshan, and Wasim Ahmad entertained the audience with their ghazals and farewell poems. During the ceremony, graduating students of M.A. and B.A. were honored with various titles and trophies. Among the graduating students, Sayma Naaz, Mohammad Ishaq, Abdul Aleem Azmi, Usama Wasiq, and Mohammad Mubarak Husain shared their reflections and experiences.

The event was moderated by Zoya Haroon, Ilma, Aamna Khatoon, and Tashbeeyah, while Mohammad Umar delivered the vote of thanks.
During the same event, Inspire-2026 was organized by Bazm-e-Talaba. The program included competitions in calligraphy, extempore speaking, and cooking.
