ALIGARH, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) today conducted the admission tests for Senior Secondary School Certificate (Science Stream) / Diploma in Engineering, Senior Secondary School Certificate (Humanities/Commerce Stream), S.S.S.C. (Bridge Course) and BALLB programmes at centres in Aligarh and several cities across the country.

A total of 26,393 candidates had applied for the Senior Secondary School (Science Stream) / Diploma in Engineering, out of which 22764 candidates appeared in the morning session at 44 centres across the country, including Aligarh, Imphal, Kolkata, Lucknow, Meerut, Patna, Rampur, Kishanganj, Srinagar, Murshidabad and Kozhikode.
In the afternoon session the number of applicants is 6,862 for the Senior Secondary School (Humanities/Commerce Stream), 200 candidates for the S.S.S.C. (Bridge Course), and 5,292 candidates for the BALLB programme.
AMU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Naima Khatoon, along with Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohd Mohsin Khan, Registrar Prof. Aasim Zafar, Proctor Prof. Mohammad Naved Khan, and other officials visited various examination centres on the university campus to oversee arrangements and ensure the smooth conduct of the tests.
In her message, the Vice-Chancellor expressed satisfaction over the orderly conduct of the examinations and commended the efforts of the university staff, emphasising AMU’s commitment to transparency and fairness in the admission process.
The Controller of Examinations, Dr. Mujib Ullah Zuberi, said that elaborate arrangements, including deployment of observers and supervisory staff at all centres, were made to ensure the examinations were conducted in a peaceful and organised manner.

The NSS unit of the university also organised support camps at key locations, facilitating candidates with guidance and basic assistance, thereby contributing to the smooth conduct of the admission process. The NSS volunteers displayed a commendable spirit of discipline, cooperation and service by assisting candidates at centres and helping maintain order.
