Trivandrum, June 5: The Indian Centre of the Russian Geographical Society in Trivandrum commemorated World Environment Day on June 5 by organizing an environmental awareness initiative aimed at inspiring young minds to contribute to a greener future.
As part of the programme, more than 50 students from 13 schools across the city were presented with saplings. The initiative sought to promote environmental consciousness and encourage tree planting among the younger generation, highlighting the importance of sustainable practices and ecological stewardship.
The event underscored the organization’s commitment to fostering environmental responsibility and engaging students in efforts to protect and preserve nature.
