Israeli forces have launched a large-scale arrest campaign across several areas of the occupied West Bank. Raids were carried out on homes in different locations overnight and early Wednesday, during which at least 40 Palestinians were detained, including women and workers from the Gaza Strip.
In Qabatiya, south of Jenin, six young men were detained following raids on several homes. In Tubas city and the town of Tamun, four Palestinians were arrested, including two women. Three of those detained are siblings from Tamun.
In Tulkarem, Israeli forces raided several neighborhoods in the city and the southern suburb of Artah, detaining five people, including a father and his son. A woman was also detained after her home was raided and searched in the town of Far’un, south of Tulkarem.
In Qalqilya, 15 workers from the Gaza Strip were detained after Israeli forces stormed an agricultural building in the al-Naqqar neighborhood. The workers were also reportedly subjected to severe beatings during the operation.
Meanwhile, three Palestinians were detained during raids in Bethlehem, including in the al-Dawha area, Aida refugee camp and the town of Teqoa.
In al-Khalil, two young men were detained from al-Fawwar refugee camp and another from al-Arroub refugee camp. In northern Jerusalem, a Palestinian man and his wife were also taken into custody after Israeli police raided their home in the Aqbat neighborhood of al-Ram town.
