Scholars from Al-Azhar and religious scholars from India and other countries participate; several academic and research books released
Cairo, Egypt, August 19, 2026: An international Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ and Imam Ahmad Raza Conference was held in Cairo, Egypt, under the aegis of Sahat-e-Imam Ahmad Raza Al-Qadri. The conference, organised on Wednesday, August 19, was attended by prominent Egyptian scholars and sheikhs, teachers of Al-Azhar University, scholars from India, and academics and students associated with religious and educational circles from several countries.
The conference was organised on the occasion of Milad-e-Mustafa ﷺ and the 108th annual remembrance of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Qadri, may Allah have mercy on him. The programme was held under the patronage of Fazilat-ul-Sheikh, Ustad, Dr Muhammad Mahna Al-Azhari, while its host and organiser was Maulana Sheikh Ghulam Muhammad Al-Qadri Al-Azhari, founder and director of Sahat-e-Imam Ahmad Raza Al-Qadri, Cairo.
During the conference, prominent Egyptian scholars, sheikhs and teachers of Al-Azhar delivered addresses on the life and character of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his virtues and qualities, love for the Prophet ﷺ, adherence to the Sunnah, and the importance of Prophetic teachings in the contemporary era.
The speakers also highlighted the religious, jurisprudential, academic, research and spiritual contributions of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Qadri, particularly his role in promoting love for the Prophet ﷺ.
Several Academic and Research Books Released
One of the major highlights of the conference was the release of several academic and research works. Among the books presented on the occasion were Imam Ahmad Raza’s works “Thalatha Rasa’il Fi Sama’il Amwat Wa Ahwalil Arwah Ba’dal Wafat,” “Khams Rasa’il Fi Tahdheebil Akhlaq Wa Huquqil Ibad,” “Juhudul Imam Ahmad Raza Wa Atharuhu Fit-Tafsir,” “At-Tasawwuf Wal-Imam Ahmad Raza Al-Qadri,” and “As-Samsam Ala Mushkil Fi Ayatil Arham.”
In addition, “Tafsir Ashrafi,” described in the original account as an important tafsir authored by Sheikh-ul-Islam Huzoor Madani, was also released. A collection of two hundred treatises titled “Jahan Makhdoom-e-Azam”, along with several other academic and research publications, was also presented.
According to the organisers, the publication and release of these works represent an effort to connect the academic and religious heritage of the Indian subcontinent with the Arab world, particularly Egypt and the academic environment of Al-Azhar University. Sahat-e-Imam Ahmad Raza Al-Qadri has been working to introduce the scholarly contributions of Imam Ahmad Raza Qadri and prominent Sunni scholars through Urdu, Arabic and other languages and to take their intellectual legacy to the younger generation.
Students Honoured for Academic Competition
Another significant feature of the programme was the recognition of winners of an academic competition organised by Sahat-e-Imam Ahmad Raza Al-Qadri. Students who performed well in the competition were presented with gifts and prizes. Students securing first, second and third positions were presented with important works of Imam Ahmad Raza, including “Jadd-ul-Mumtar” and other books.
Speakers emphasised the importance of such activities in developing an interest in learning, reading, research, the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the scholarly contributions of Imam Ahmad Raza among students. Scholars and students from India, Pakistan and several other countries also participated in the gathering and appreciated the initiative as an effective effort to connect the younger generation with their academic and religious heritage.
Advancing the Mission of Imam Ahmad Raza
The conference also highlighted the role of the academic, research, publishing and training activities of Sahat-e-Imam Ahmad Raza Al-Qadri, Cairo in taking the scholarly mission of Imam Ahmad Raza Qadri to the Arab world and international academic circles.
Through scholars and sheikhs, efforts are being made to introduce the intellectual and academic contributions of Imam Ahmad Raza and scholars of the Indian subcontinent. At the same time, the publication of important works by Sunni scholars, academic gatherings, student competitions and research activities are being used to carry this mission forward among the younger generation.
Scholars of Al-Azhar expressed hope that the academic centre established in Cairo would continue to play a role in presenting the scholarly contributions of Imam Ahmad Raza and other prominent scholars of the Indian subcontinent to the world in Arabic and in strengthening academic links between different scholarly circles.

The conference was attended by a number of prominent scholars and sheikhs from Egypt, India, Jordan, Syria, Nigeria and other countries.
Among those present were Mustashar, Sheikh-ul-Azhar, Fazilat-ul-Ustad Dr Muhammad Mahna Al-Azhari, Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Yusri Jabr Al-Azhari, Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Dr Atiya Mustafa Al-Azhari, Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Dr Ibrahim Haddad Al-Azhari, Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Dr Jamal Farouk Daqaq Al-Azhari, Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Marwan Katib (Jordan), Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Mukhlif Ali Al-Qadri (Damascus, Syria), Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Dr Jamil Ibrahim Al-Azhari, Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Dr Ahmad Mamdouh Al-Azhari, Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Dr Abdul Karim Al-Azhari, Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Dr Mahmoud Abdeen Al-Azhari, Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Dr Hani Tamam Al-Azhari, Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Dr Ahmad Al-Basili Al-Azhari, Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Muhammad Khamis Al-Azhari (Nigeria), Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Dr Marwan Shaban Al-Azhari, Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Dr Al-Hussain Al-Bukhari Al-Azhari, and Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Dr Ahmad Abid Al-Azhari, among others.
Scholars who travelled from India to encourage the participating students included Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Syed Muhammad Al-Qadri, Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Syed Jami Ashrafi and Fazilat-ul-Sheikh Riyaz Alimi Ashrafi, along with other prominent scholars and sheikhs.
The programme concluded with a special prayer for the Islamic world, Egypt, the Muslim Ummah and humanity as a whole. Participants appreciated the academic and spiritual efforts of Sahat-e-Imam Ahmad Raza Al-Qadri and its founder, Maulana Ghulam Muhammad Qadri Al-Azhari, and expressed hope that similar academic, research and publishing programmes would continue in the future.
