Israeli Forces Arrest Over 600 Palestinians in October, Including 42 Children and 14 Women

The Palestine Center for Prisoners Studies reported that Israeli forces arrested more than 600 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem during October 2026. Those arrested included 14 women and girls and 42 children.

According to the center, Israeli forces increased their raids and arrest operations in Palestinian villages, refugee camps and towns. During these raids, soldiers questioned residents, assaulted some people and detained others inside houses that had been taken over and turned into temporary interrogation centers.

The center said that Israeli forces released most of the detainees after questioning them. However, they were reportedly warned not to take part in activities that Israeli authorities consider “incitement” or to publish certain posts on social media.

In  Al-Khalil (Hebron) governorate, Israeli forces surrounded the city and carried out raids on hundreds of homes. According to the center, soldiers searched houses, damaged household belongings and mistreated residents.

The center also alleged that Israeli soldiers used some Palestinian residents as human shields during the operations.

More than 120 Palestinians were arrested in a large-scale operation in Hebron. Those detained included women, children, elderly people and former prisoners.

Regarding the targeting of women and children, the center reported that arrests of Palestinian minors exceeded 42 during October.

It highlighted the extension of the detention of 17-year-old Nada Odeh from Tubas for another month, despite her having spent more than 10 months in Israeli custody.
